How the “economy of simple things” is developing the capital’s business

The implementation of the "economy of simple things" program was discussed under the leadership of the mayor of the capital - Altai Kulginov at the iQala city services site. The meeting was attended by producers themselves - representatives of domestic associations of furniture, textile, construction, wood processing industries, members of the regional project office for monitoring the implementation of the program of preferential lending for priority projects, the regional Council under the RCE, etc.

Elbasy Nursultan Nazarbayev in his address to the people stressed the need to develop the "economy of simple things". Head of state Kassym-Jomart Tokayev instructed to increase the volume of domestically produced goods and pay special attention to increasing local content in the purchases of large companies and in public procurement. Mayor of the capital Altai Kulginov noted that it is necessary to fully use the potential of the "economy of simple things". "We create the conditions for doing business, at the coordination councils we support the projects. There are all opportunities to produce products/goods, improve quality, compete, and export. As part of the development of the "economy of simple things" program we are working on concessional lending," A. Kulginov said.

Olzhas Khudaibergenov, senior partner of the CSI consulting company, analyzed the city's enterprises and noted that the priority areas of the "economy of simple things" program are problematic issues and ways to solve them.

"Now the main directions of the "economy of simple things" are such industries as the construction, textile, light and furniture industries. Commodity producers, expanding and gaining momentum, also create new jobs. For comfortable work, it is necessary to continue to develop the work of the unified iQala city services center, where entrepreneurs are provided with up to 139 services on the principle of "one window". To date, the Commission has developed measures for the participation of producers in the development of project documentation and placement on web portals, which also creates additional support measures," Olzhas Khudaibergenov said. At the same time, to support producers, the city administration in cooperation with the Chamber of entrepreneurs is working on issuing industrial certificates (furniture and light industry enterprises will be able to participate in public procurement only if they have an industrial certificate). As of today, this certificate has been issued to 29 companies, and 2 more applications are under consideration.
